Description
Insulating Phase Spacers are hardware components used in power transmission lines, primarily serving to maintain the spacing between two phase conductors, prevent conductor swaying, and avoid phase-to-phase flashover. The following is an introduction to this component:
Structural Composition
Typically composed of a central insulating rod and connecting hardware at both ends. The insulating rod generally consists of a glass fiber epoxy resin core rod and a silicone rubber skirt, offering excellent insulation properties and mechanical strength.
Working Principle
By mechanically connecting conductors of different phases, the movement of each conductor is mutually constrained. When the line vibrates due to wind-induced vibrations, ice accumulation/melting, or short-circuit electromagnetic forces, the spacer rod suppresses conductor swaying. This maintains the air gap between conductors within permissible limits, preventing phase-to-phase short circuits.
Product Features
High resistance to bending and impact, excellent anti-fouling, anti-vibration, and anti-brittle fracture properties. Lightweight design facilitates easy installation and requires no maintenance.
